This innovative KitKat point of sale display is sure to draw attention and keep the KitKat brand in the forefront of customer’s minds as they shop. It uses the primary brand colour and a giant version of the sweet as a centrepiece.

2) Recognisable Characters

Another possible route to go is to use a relevant mascot to build brand awareness. Mascots are highly recognisable and, as such, consumers can be drawn to point of sale displays that feature identifiable characters.

3) A Festive Addition

Another option is to design your point of sale display around an upcoming holiday as Lindt has done here for this Christmas themed display. Buying gifts for friends and family are at the forefront of many consumers’ minds during the holiday season. I am not going to lie and say that this wasn’t picked as it is incredibly festive for the current time of year, but it still gives some great ideas! The way the shelves are arranged is meant to mimic the different levels of a minimalistic Christmas tree, which has worked very well here.

4) Make It Different!

If in doubt, make it different – this display attracts the eye just because it looks so different when compared to the other displays in store. However, when designing a point of sale display, it is critical to keep within the realms of possibility, as the people at Wonka chocolate have. Their point of sale display is impressive, attracts the eye yet wouldn’t be too difficult to manoeuvre around a store.

5) Freestanding Innovation

Freestanding display units like this are often overlooked when looking for a suitable point of sale display. However, they are more versatile than other types of point of sale displays and allow more creativity on a broader spectrum. They use the signature Ferrero Rocher colour and have even decorated a heart with Ferrero Rochers’ to draw the consumer’s eye. A display like this certainly draws attention to itself, which is what you want with a point of sale display.

6) Think Outside The Box - Literally!

Boxes not your kind of thing? That is okay! There are Dump Bins! These handy displays can skyrocket your product sales by increasing the likelihood of impulse buying. They also show off the product in a new and exciting way.

7) Smaller, But Just As Useful

When thinking of buying a point of sale display, you may think that bigger is better. However, this is not always the case. Countertop displays like this can be used to tempt consumers into a last minute purchase as they are checking out, increasing sales for everyone involved.
